Kurt was born and raised in Kansas and came to know Christ at a young age through his faithful Christian family. He has worked in industry as a chemical engineer since 1990 in Michigan, Kentucky and China, and was in the US Army Reserve for 21 years. At LBC he has served on various committees, as a deacon and a LIFE class teacher. Kurt and Kristen have been married since 1988 and have three grown children. He joined the elder team in 2020.
