The Gospel In Me: November 25, 2018
Before every baptism we have the privilege to hear stories of how God has saved people in our church and community through the gospel. In order to encourage one another, we will be posting these “gospel stories” after each baptism!
Rebecca Francis (8 years old)
One night my mom was reading to me and I asked, “Will I go to heaven?” I was afraid of hell and I wanted to be with my mom. My mom said she couldn’t take me there but I could pray and ask God. I prayed, “Dear Heavenly Father, I don’t want to go to hell. I want to go to heaven. I know I am a sinner. And I need you. Amen.” After that, my mom asked me how I am thankful for Jesus. I prayed that I was thankful that He came to die on the cross for my sins.
The Bible says, “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”, and the Bible says that “the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” I know I am a sinner because I have lied and done bad things. And before Jesus went to heaven he told the disciples to preach the Bible and go baptize. Jesus was baptized and he told his disciples to be baptized, and I want to be baptized.
